Nashville-based bluegrass band The Infamous Stringdusters will rock the house on March 17th in a St. Patrick’s Day celebration at Black Oak Casino. Members of the 6-piece band have all drawn national attention for their remarkable playing abilities, and their style bridges the gap between traditional and contemporary bluegrass.
The band emerged in 2007 with their acclaimed debut album Fork in the Road, which won them "Album of the Year," "Song of the Year," and "Emerging Artist of the Year" in the International Bluegrass Music Association Awards. Their 2nd album Infamous Stringdusters reached #1 on U.S. Bluegrass charts.
Their much-anticipated third album Things That Fly will be released next month on April 20th. Nine-time Grammy Award winning engineer Gary Paczosa collaborated with them on their latest album, and there are high expectations for it. Band members say they paid particular attention to detail and song writing on this album, and reviewers who have gotten to preview it are calling it their best by far.
The Infamous Stringdusters will perform at Black Oak Casino on Wednesday, March 17th at 8pm. If you are interested in interviewing band members or running a promotion in conjunction with the event, please contact Diana Jackin at (559) 472-7148.
