Rising country star Lee Brice, whose "Love Like Crazy" broke a record for longest charting country music song, will be performing at Black Oak Casino on January 26th. Brice, whose four singles have all charted on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, made country music history when his single "Love Like Crazy" spent 56 weeks on the charts, breaking a record set back in 1948.
Brice’s songs are a cross between traditional honky tonk and contemporary rock and roll, and Brice jokes that they sound like what would happen if Hank Williams, Jr. and John Mayer had a love child. Born in South Carolina and raised on gospel music, Brice began playing piano at age 7 and writing his own songs at age 10. In high school, where he won the school talent competition three years in a row, he found a role model in Garth Brooks, who he would later go on to write songs for.
After working as a successful songwriter, in 2007, Brice began recording and releasing singles, which quickly became hits. His songs "She Ain’t Right," "Happy Endings", "Upper Middle Class White Trash," and "Love Like Crazy" all made the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. Brice released his first album in June of 2010.
Lee Brice will perform at Black Oak Casino on Wednesday, January 26th at 8pm. Tickets are $20 for the event. If you are interested in interviewing Lee Brice or running a promotion in conjunction with the event, please contact Diana Jackin at (559) 472-7148.
