Josh Thompson – a big new voice on the country music scene — will be coming to Black Oak Casino in September as part of a nationwide tour. Thompson released his debut single Beer on the Table late last year, which reached #17 on the country music charts in February 2010 and #3 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart. Thompson was also named #3 Hottest Bachelor by Country Weekly magazine this year, based on fan votes.

Thompson’s debut album Way Out of Here features heartfelt songs about the realities of blue-collar life and has reached #9 on the Billboard country album charts. A Wisconsin native, Thompson first began pouring concrete with his father at age 12, and continued the trade for years, even after moving to Nashville to launch his musical career. Thompson’s work ethic, compelling songwriting, and wholehearted performances have made him a dynamic new voice in country music.
