Black Oak Casino’s Seven Sisters Restaurant
Welcomes Guest Chef Klaus Tenbergen
Tuolumne, CA – March 13, 2008 Chef
Klaus Tenbergen, cook book author, and master baker, CMB,
CEPC, CMFE, will visit Black Oak Casino on March 19 and
20 as a guest chef to prepare a five course dinner at
the Seven Sisters restaurant for invited Players Club
members. Guests will enjoy a delectable menu that includes
a tomato-orange soup, Cucumber and Biltong salad, along
with a palette pleasing Yukon Gold Potato and vodka sorbet.
Entrée choices will feature Ostrich fillet, filet
mignon with Australian lobster tail, or a brie and herb
stuffed organic chicken breast. Cherries Jubilee will
close the evening and be prepared tableside by Chef Tenbergen.
Tenbergen was born in Germany and has a culinary background
that started in 1977 as an apprentice baker. Chef Tenbergen
also owned a bakery, confectionery, and coffee shop in
Pretoria, South Africa for nine years exposing him to
an international audience, along with working in Namibia,
Boputhatswana and in Peoria, IL where he owned a fine
dining restaurant. He is currently the Culinology® Program
Director and Assistant Professor of Culinary Science in
the Department of Food Science and Nutrition at California
State University, Fresno
Executive Chef Ed Wickman stated, “We are very
excited to welcome Chef Tenbergen to Black Oak Casino.
We are honored to have a chef with his knowledge, experience,
and respect in the culinary field visit us for this very
special evening. Our invited guests will be treated to
an incredible dining experience.”
Black Oak Casino is owned and operated by the Tuolumne
Band of Me-Wuk Indians in Tuolumne, California. The Casino
encompasses 164,770 square feet of gaming and entertainment
