Country Star Lacy J. Dalton to Perform at Black Oak Casino
Dalton is one of the most instantly recognizable voices in music and will be at Black Oak Casino on May 15th
Country music star Lacy J. Dalton, whose hits include “Takin’ It Easy,” “Crazy Blue Eyes,” and “16th Avenue,” will be coming to Black Oak Casino on May 15th. Dalton, who is known for her gritty, powerful vocals, is one of the most instantly recognizable voices in music and was called “Country’s Bonnie Raitt” by People magazine.
Dalton’s most recent album, The Last Wild Place Anthology, was rated #1 on the World Country Independent Chart and the song “Slip Away” also went #1. A year and a half later, both “Slip Away” and the entire CD hit #1 on the American Western Music Chart. “Slip Away” was also featured in Alison Eastwood’s Sundance film Don’t Tell.
Currently, Dalton is recording two new CDs – the first, “Songs of the New West,” is a collection of Outlaw Country songs. A 2nd CD called “What Don’t Kill You Makes You Strong,” is an album fueled by feelings from what Lacy describes as a “Thermonuclear Divorce” from longtime husband and partner Aaron Anderson.
