Black Oak Casino Emergency Responders Honored
Tuolumne, CA – December 11, 2007- Seven Black Oak Casino emergency responders were honored on December 9, 2007 for assisting a woman who had suffered cardiac arrest during a visit to Black Oak Casino. Black Oak Casino medical personnel performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation and used an automatic external defibrillator to restore the patients’ heartbeat. The prompt assistance and advanced medical care by Tuolumne County ambulance paramedics allowed Louisa Sanchez, 70, of Modesto to survive.
Certificates were presented by the Tuolumne County Ambulance Operations Manager Bill Caldera to emergency responders Amy Andrada, David Cook, Thomas Cook, Daniel Harner, April Lang, Curtis Leonard and Sheri James.
The Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors also expressed their gratitude to Black Oak Casino staff for their assistance in a double bus accident on Highway 108 on August 10, 2007. During this incident Black Oak Casino shuttle buses were on scene to help with transportation needs for stranded Tour bus passengers.
