Black Oak Casino Heats Up the Mountains with Smoldering Blues, Sizzling Rock and Some Dynamite Country

TUOLUMNE , CA (February 13, 2006)– Why save music festivals only for summer? Black Oak Casino shakes off the winter chill by hosting a music festival showcasing a range of styles so varied that everyone is sure to find just the thing to get their toes tapping. The Festival theme highlights the varied world-class entertainment scheduled weekly at the Willow Creek Lounge.

The first weekend of the Willow Creek Winter Music Festival kicks-off Thursday, February 16 th with classic-rock superstars, Pablo Cruise . Then, Friday, February 17 th , Firefall takes the stage with their country-inspired-rock that will take you right back to 1975.

Blue-grass vocal legend, John Cowan, former lead singer of New Grass Revival of “Callin' Baton Rouge” fame , will leave fans begging for more with his new-grass sounds February 19 th .

Country star Lacy J Dalton (Feb 22 nd ) and Bay Area blues sensation Tommy Castro (Feb 23 rd & 24 th ) highlight week two of the Willow Creek Winter Music Festival.

Grammy nominated blues artist, John Lee Hooker Jr . brings his critically acclaimed “Blues with a Vengeance” to the mountains on March 3 rd . Hooker blends Delta-blues with a Motown sound that is straight from his motor-city roots.

Rounding out the party will be the classic-rock sounds of Gregg Allman's sidemen, the Alameda All-Stars (March 4 th ), and million-selling, country recording artist, Jessica Andrews performing her hit “Who I Am” (March 9 th ).
