Dining Excellence is found at Seven
Sisters
Inside Black Oak Casino
July 7, 2006 For immediate Release
Tucked away in the Central California Sierra foothills
is the Tuolumne Me-Wuk, Black Oak Casino culinary giant,
Seven Sisters Restaurant. This fine dining establishment
was named to honor seven sisters of one of the founding
families of the Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indian's Rancheria.
The Seven Sisters' kitchen, lead by renowned chef Ed Wickman,
turns out Sierra-style specialties that are at once hearty
and elegant. Sugarcane Skewered Venison in a raspberry-pear
reduction and Salmon Gavlax with house cured wild salmon
are among some of the appetizer favorites.
The Seven Sisters atmosphere is gracefully comfortable
with slate floors, African burl wood paneled walls, and
etched, artisan glass windows that run from floor to ceiling.
Summer evening dining can be enjoyed on the patio, lit by
enormous stone torches.
The cuisine is exceptional, portions generous, and the
servers excellent. Restaurant specialties are sophisticated
dishes including, seafood, steak, lamb, and vegetarian entrees.
Seven Sisters keeps an extraordinary wine cellar stocked
with inspiring selections from both Californian and European
vintners, complementing both the sweet and savory delights
on the menu.
